In the parables of the mustard seed and the yeast, we are consoled by the message that God can work wonders and produce abundance from even the smallest beginnings of the Kingdom of Heaven.
The gift of life that God offers us grants us innumerable opportunities to germinate, to grow and to produce fruit.
In coming to the person of Jesus we discover that far from being burdened, we are fully liberated. Let Jesus be our rock of strength.
To welcome another in Jesus’ name is to extend hospitality to Jesus himself.
When we have learned to work together with others to achieve a common goal, we have learned something of what it means to do the work of Christ.
Every person in the Church is sent by Christ to do the work that he did.
When we share in the Body and Blood of Christ, Jesus himself comes to dwell within us. This communion with the Lord makes us one body, brings us eternal life, and sends us forth to be Christ’s Body in the world.
God acts always as a God of love; he does not condemn the world but acts to save it.
I am deeply convinced that the power of the Church and of a community is not in numbers. It is in the restlessness provided by the Spirit.
